Whitney My Love

7

Okay, so I am currently rereading one of my favorite romantic books ever. So for men, you can discard this entry. I am not really one to read a lot of romantic books, but this one is very special. I only ever read time period romantic novels as present day romance just comes off cliche and cheesy. The leading character Whitney is so endearing and witty, you can’t help but want to be her, and she is flawed to the core. The leading male character known as Clayton Westmoreland is the most devilish man that you can’t help but love and want. This book is filled with quirkiness which will get you giggling and laughing, as well as a lot of passion and tears. It really is a shame they have not turned this into a movie, because it could would be an epic visually.

Sypnosis:

Whitney Stone’s teenage crush on a neighbor has her cold, unfeeling father banishing her to Paris into the care of her aunt and uncle. Under their loving guidance, the young woman blossoms into a ravishing beauty and becomes the darling of glittering Parisian society–a fact not lost on the handsome and equally powerful Duke of Claymore, who determines to make her his wife. Despite the duke’s fervent interest, Whitney remains fixed on her childhood love. That is, until she finds herself tempted by the Duke–an attraction that both delights and baffles Whitney, causing her to be increasingly wary of what her heart may lead her to do. The Duke suffers no such confusion. He wants Whitney. And he plans to have her, despite a number of obstacles, including the infatuation Whitney seems to have for another; her aunt’s growing concerns; and her greedy father’s bungling efforts to control his beautiful daughter. But before the Duke and Whitney’s plans can reach fruition, they’ll have to work their way through a morass of misunderstandings that threaten any hope of a happy ending.

Sex, Drugs & Rock n Roll

sex_drugs_and_rock__roll_by_LoverletWe live in an era where media conspicuously slips in a sexual innuendo, where drugs are almost everyones weakness, let it be hard drugs or pain killers, and where Rock music has taken a turn to the worst. Take a look at, for example, the McDonald’s advert where Paris Hilton is eating a big fat unhealthy burger while washing a car half naked. What do the two have in common? Is this just mind control and plain human manipulation? What is their big plan after everyone has succumbed to a malicious evil lifestyle?

We don’t realize that our children are the future and this is the filth they are filled through television and advertising. Would you get attracted to a billboard of a fat bald hairy man holding up Tom Ford’s latest perfume? It’s a tactical brainwash. Even though I write this article, I myself have fallen to this trap. Is there no way to get out? Are we slaves to this industry? Maybe we are, but can’t we start by teaching our children differently?

We have to carefully study the hidden messages movies and music try to feed us unconsciously, then decide whether we want our children to be watching these sort of movies or listening to this sort of music. We are adults now, we can learn to watch and listen and discard in the end of the day, but our children’s minds are fragile. Save your children first.

Rubbish By an Insomniac

Things seem cryptically enhanced in my head.
Bits of crusted thoughts of solitude
Grilling deep, unexpected, dead
Dreams are made of lies

Atoms attracted within an entity
One says no, the other yes
Thoughtless rubbish, mostly blasphemy
Rewinding, forwarding, empty

Senseless words, typed out
One not connected to the other
In space, awake.
The end. The end.
